Valencia County, NM (KKOB) – Seven earthquakes were reported early Wednesday south of Belen and in the same general vicinity of those reported this weekend.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the strongest quake this morning was a 3.8 magnitude quake reported West NW of Veguita around around 4:45 a.m. A 3.5 magnitude earthquake hit west of Abeytas around 6:44 a.m. Later in the morning, there were two back to back tremors, a 2.9 north of Las Nutrias, and a 3.2 magnitud quake just Northwest of Abeytas.
Over the weekend and on Monday, at least four earthquakes were reported in Valencia County and portion of Socorro County. No damages have been reported due to the seismic activity.
