Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A new traffic feature is coming to drivers and it needs a name. The NM Department of Transportation is asking the public’s help in naming new advanced U-turn lanes being added to new construction on I-25. The U-turns will be part of improvements at the Comanche Road and Montgomery Blvd interchanges and are being added to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. The design allows drivers to make U-turns approaching major intersections, helping traffic move more efficiently. NMDOT is looking for creative, NM inspired naming ideas for the U-turns. Entries will be accepted through Friday, June 26th on NMDOT’s website.
