ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — There’s a sense of pride in Albuquerque as the Colorado Rockies make headlines with a historic performance.
The Rockies, the parent club of the Albuquerque Isotopes, recently scored a franchise-record 23 runs in a single game against the Oakland Athletics.
Now, Colorado turns its focus to its next matchup, hosting the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday at Coors Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.
For Isotopes fans, it’s another reminder that big-league success is often built through the pipeline that runs through Albuquerque.
