Midland, TX (KKOB) – Nine people were shot in Midland, Texas this morning in an apparent active shooter situation. 4 people were confirmed in very critical condition and the shooter is dead. Five others who were shot were reported in stable condition. The City of Midland confirmed that the shooter was killed by law enforcement.
The active shooter situation began around 8am central time in the area of several collision centers in Midland. Witnesses saying that they heard several shots being fired outside and near the businesses.
The city of Midland confirmed around noon central time that the shooter was dead. So far no reason behind the shooting has been reported. .
