Cibola County, NM (KKOB) – A man wanted in connection with a kidnapping incident that happened in Grants earlier this month was arrested this morning in McKinley County.
Authorities had been searching for Landerson Navajo, who they say abducted a female victim from a convenience store on Santa Fe Avenue in Grants on June 4th.
Navajo was wanted on several charges including kidnapping, robbery, among other charges and outstanding warrants including a rape charge of a minor under the age of 13.
The victim in this latest case, was taken to a location where she was assaulted before she was able to escape and call for help.
Navajo was arrested without incident in a joint operation between the Cibola and McKinley County Sheriff’s Offices.
