Albuquerque, NMÂ (KKOB) –With temperatures beginning to rise across the state, the city of las Cruces has announced the opening of several cooling centers to help residents stay safe during the hot season. The temporary sites will operate Wednesday and Thursday providing air conditioned spaces across the city of Las Cruces. The centers are intended to support older adults, those with health conditions and people without reliable cooling at home.
