Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Ground was broken Saturday on a new East Mountain Public Charter School which will be built right next to the current high school. The pre-construction process took five years to put together. Executive Director of East Mountain High School, Trey Smith said, ..”we just wanted to close the gap so we could have a more predictable, seamless pathway for families in the area, for a 6-12 pathway that’s aligned under our culture, our expectations and our mission.” Smith said the first class of sixth graders is already full for this fall.
