ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Three people and four pets were displaced after a house fire broke out in northwest Albuquerque on Tuesday morning.
According to Albuquerque Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched to a home in the 12200 block of Eric Court NW at approximately 9:53 a.m. following reports of a structure fire at a two-story residence.
Firefighters arrived and quickly worked to contain the blaze, bringing it under control within 13 minutes.
Officials said the fire caused the most significant damage in the home’s kitchen, while smoke damage spread throughout the rest of the residence.
No injuries were reported.
The three residents were displaced by the fire, along with their two dogs and two cats. Albuquerque Fire Rescue said family members are assisting those affected.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are still searching for the driver of the white pickup truck.
