Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Two new wildfires are burning on the Mountainair Ranger District. The Cerro and Blanco Fires are each estimated at 10 acres and are burning in the Manzano Mountains west and southwest of the Fourth of July Canyon. Both fires are exhibiting active growth with moderate winds and dry conditions in the area. The public is asked to avoid the Fourth of July recreation area and adjoining trails for the safety of firefighters and the public.
