Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — After nearly 5 hours of debate, Bernalillo County commissioners denied an appeal over a proposed Islamic center in the North Valley. The Albuquerque Islamic Center said it has worked on the project for the past two years. The proposed campus would include a mosque, though plans for a school were dropped as part of the approval process. The center would go near Second Street and Alameda.
