Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — On June 18th a vehicle arriving from Mexico at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso was referred to a secondary inspection. The search by Border officers resulted in finding more than half a million dollars worth of meth in the black SUV which had several secret compartments. Customs and Border Protection officers said they discovered multiple bundles of meth, weighing a total of 58 pounds, hidden in those compartments. CBP said the drugs, had a street value of $521,100. The driver of the SUV, has only been described as a female U.S. citizen, who was taken into federal custody. CBP confiscated the drugs and the vehicle.
