Drivers in southwest Albuquerque may experience delays as road work continues along a stretch of Barcelona Road.
Bernalillo County officials say crews are working between Coors Boulevard and Condershire Drive Southwest as part of a roadway improvement project.
According to the county, the work includes filling cracks and repairing larger gaps in the pavement before applying a microsurface treatment across the entire roadway. The process is designed to extend the life of the road surface and improve driving conditions.
Construction is expected to continue through June 18, with intermittent traffic impacts possible during that time.
County officials say once the project is complete, drivers can expect a smoother road and improved overall ride quality.
