Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Two people have been charged in a killing that happened two years ago in SE Albuquerque. Emiliano Vallejos and Rosalyn Garcia stole a phone belonging to Ty James and then stabbed him to death outside the Smiths store on Yale and Coal on July 12th of 2024. Surveillance video from nearby businesses showed two people leaving the area after the killing. Detectives tested DNA from the knife and matched it to Vallejos. Police said jail calls between Vallejos and Garcia showed Garcia admitted to lying to police about their involvement in the killing.
