Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Green Chile Natural Gas Pipeline is moving forward, compliments of an expedited review process by the Bureau of Land Management. Crossing 16 miles of federal land in Doña Ana County the pipeline, which is proposed to serve power plants for the massive data center project near Santa Teresa in Southern New Mexico, was authorized under a 14-day emergency environmental review process. The $60 million pipeline would be able to transport 400,000 dekatherms of natural gas each day. Last week, however, Project Jupiter developers announced they were overhauling their plan to power the facility, switching from natural gas-powered turbines to fuel cells from Bloom Energy.
