ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – A late-night fire drew a response from Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews Tuesday in northwest Albuquerque.
Just after 10 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 2900 block of 2nd Street Northwest after reports of a building fire. When crews arrived, they observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.
Firefighters quickly worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings. Officials say the fire was brought under control within approximately 30 minutes.
Damage from the fire was largely contained to a large detached garage on the property, helping limit its overall impact.
No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
