Las Cruces, NM (KKOB) – A Las Cruces middle school teacher is in jail without bond, on charges related to having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year old girl. 43-year old Wyatt Cornelius who was a teacher at Camino Real Middle School, is charged with third and fourth degree felony counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and child solicitation by an electronic device. LCPD reports they received a report about the relationship including interactions on Snapchat and at sporting events. He also allegedly touched her innapropriately inside the classroom Police report that in once incident he convinced the girl to sneak out of her house to meet with him.
