Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A suspect is in custody following a report of an active shooter in Bernalillo this morning. Bernalillo Police say officers were dispatched to Highway 550 after a caller reported someone was shooting at their car. A perimeter was set up near Bernalillo High School where the suspect was located behind the school in a ditch. Both police and the suspect fired shots at each other with no injuries to the officers. NM State Police are investigating the shooting that involved the officers. Bernalillo Public Schools remained closed for today.
