Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is once again launching its citizen academy beginning May 12th. The 16-week academy gives participants a closer look at BCSO’s operations and specialized programs. Sessions range from K-9 units, virtual reality technology and the emergency response team. The academy also gives participants the chance to visit the hangar and ride along with deputies. You must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check to enroll. The program meets once a week on Tuesdays for three hours.
