Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –During Monday night’s Albuquerque City Council meeting it was revealed that the City will no longer purchase a vacated Ramada Inn on Hotel Circle NE. The project was supposed to be an affordable senior housing facility. The deal however fell through because the complex, named Juniper Flats needed more work than expected. A private owner was overseeing the initial renovations and was nearing completion. The City then tried to purchase the structure at a reduced rate but the deal fell through. City officials said they will look for other opportunities to convert motels into affordable senior housing.
