Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An Albuquerque Jury has convicted a man of sexually abusing a minor for years. Late yesterday Gerardo Lazcano-Ramirez was convicted of four counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration (First-degree for a child under 13), Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor, False imprisonment, and intimidation of a witness. The abuse took place multiple times from 2015 through 2020. The victim was 7 years old when the abuse began and continued until she was 12. Lazcano-Ramirez threatened the child during the abuse. He faces up to 97 years in prison. A sentencing date has not yet been announced.
