Hidalgo County, NM (KKOB) – Hidalgo County Fire Rescue units were called to the scene of a charter bus which had rolled on its side on Interstate 10 near Lordsburg early Friday morning.
On arrival crews found a charter bus had flipped off of the roadway while traveling westbound towards Arizona. According to a social media post, approximately 30 patients were extricated from the bus with a few taken to a nearby hospital and 2 other passengers had to be air lifted from scene. There were no fatalities on scene of the crash.
The bus appears to belong to Transportes Turisticas Fudsa, a charter bus company with headquarters in Los Angeles, Ca. It is unknown where the bus originated from and what was its final destination. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
