Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Albuquerque police are investigating the murder of a man who was found dead inside a vehicle in the middle of San Mateo Blvd on Thursday. APD reporting that a man was found shot dead inside a locked vehicle and it stopped in the middle of San Mateo causing officers to break into the locked car to reach the victim who was still strapped in his seat belt. Detectives are now looking for security video and any witnesses with video or with information are asked to call police according to spokesman Gilbert Gallegos.
Because the shooting took place in the middle of the road, police say it could be a result of road rage but that still needs to be determined. Gallegos did say that this incident does stand out because of the way the victim was found. Police have not identified the victim so far this morning.
