Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Changes are coming to 4th Street between Ortega Road and Alameda Boulevard after Bernalillo County commissioners signed off on a $6 million plan to overhaul that section of 4th street. A new drainage system, new roadway and pedestrian safety improvements are included in the project. The project was awarded to Compass Engineering for $6.3 million. Funding will come from the county’s biennial budget and road bonds. Construction is set to begin this summer and continue through the winter of 2027
