Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s office will be presenting a case against a 19-year old Albuquerque man accused of several liquor store burglaries to remain in jail until his trial is scheduled.
Miguel Rivera was arrested on Sunday morning in the area of Rio Grande Blvd and Central Avenue and according to court documents he was driving a stolen vehicle and a short pursuit began after he took off from a traffic stop. Rivera has a long criminal record going back to 2024 and that’s the reason the DA’s office wants him to stay in jail until his trial. Court records also say that Rivera is charged with crashing into the liquor stores at several locations around town, including a Kelly liquor store on Wyoming earlier this month where he’s accused of taking about $3,000 worth of liquor, and then posted videos about it online.
