Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Fire crews continue to work the Nacimiento Wildfire that began this weekend. The fire is in the Cuba Ranger district, located south of the Nacimiento Mine and NM State Road 126. Smoke is visible from Cuba NM and surrounding communities. Large Air Tankers were ordered to drop retardant on the fire with crews focusing their efforts on building a containment line around the fire. The fire is estimated at 18 acres and currently at zero containment. The cause is under investigation.
