Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –It was announced Sunday that NM’s U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich will be a yes vote for the nomination of Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin for Department of Homeland Security Secretary. Senator Heinrich, calling Mullin a friend, will cross party lines to support the nomination of Senator Mullin for DHS Secretary. Heinrich said he and Mullin have an “honest and constructive working relationship.” Saying they often disagree but work to find common ground. If confirmed, Mullin will replace former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem who was fired earlier this month by President Trump.
