Albuquerque, NM – Isleta Grill of Isleta Pueblo claimed both top honors at the New Mexico State Fair’s Green Chile Cheeseburger Challenge, winning the People’s Choice Champion and Blind Judging Champion titles. The double win marks a repeat performance for Isleta Grill, which also took the blind judging award in 2024.
Main Street was packed with hungry fairgoers eager to sample nine of the state’s best green chile cheeseburgers. The competition featured entries from across New Mexico, each offering their own take on the iconic dish.
The event was sponsored by the New Mexico Gas Company and supported by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture.
