New Mexico State Police Investigating Incident on NM-14
MADRID, N.M. — New Mexico State Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured late Saturday night near the town of Madrid.
According to an NMSP spokesperson, officers responded to a call around 11 p.m. and found the victim on NM-14 near mile marker 25 with at least one gunshot wound. The individual was transported for medical treatment, though their condition has not been released.
The highway was closed for several hours overnight as investigators processed the scene. NM-14 reopened around noon on Sunday.
