Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)-Albuquerque Police have four suspects in custody in connection with the murder on Wednesday during the overnight hours, of a man shot in an alleyway between Cornell Dr. and Stanford Ave, just south of Central Ave. near UNM.
Over the last 48 hours APD detectives arrested the 4 men in what they believe was a pre-planned murder. Each are charged with an open count of murder, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence.

According to police, the victim, Eden Rock, 20, met with a woman inside the Frontier restaurant on Wednesday around 10 p.m. They left the restaurant after about 40 minutes and walked around the building and south in an alleyway toward a parking lot. Surveillance video showed the four suspects exit a Jeep Cherokee and hide behind a nearby dumpster. As Rock and the woman walked past the dumpster, the four men charged Rock and knocked him to the ground. One of the suspects, later identified as Tenard Weekly, allegedly fired one shot at Rock, then approached him while he was on the ground and shot a second time. According to APD’s ShotSpotter system, it detected two shots fired at 10:47 p.m.
Rock was transported to the hospital, where he died as a result of the gunshot wounds.
Detectives said it appeared the attack was pre-planned and Rock was lured to the alleyway where the suspects were waiting to confront him. Witnesses said Weekly and Rock had an on-going feud throughout the day.
Immediately after the shooting, the four male suspects ran to the Jeep Cherokee and fled the area.
Homicide detectives identified Evan Rogers as the driver of the vehicle Jeep that took off from the alleyway following the shooting. Detectives used Automated License Plate Readers to track the vehicle.
Detectives eventually located the vehicle at the Lobo Village apartments, 1200 Avenida Cesar Chavez, S.E. Surveillance video showed the same four suspects exit the vehicle at Lobo Village and walk to the building where Rogers was known to live. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Rogers, 24, on Thursday and took him into custody at Lobo Village. Detectives also detained Junior Lewis, 19, at the apartment and later obtained an arrest warrant for him.
On Friday, detectives obtained warrants and arrested Tenard Weekly, 20, and Jaylen Hopewell, 20.
Al remain inside MDC without bond.
