Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – Fifteen people are now in custody following a large undercover operation targeting online child predators in New Mexico. The FBI says the arrests are the result of a months-long investigation led by the Albuquerque Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Authorities say the individuals are facing charges that include child solicitation using electronic devices, with investigators alleging the suspects were attempting to engage in sexual activity with minors. The operation involved coordination between multiple agencies, including the New Mexico Department of Justice, Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, and Santa Fe Police Department.
Officials have not released further details about how the operation was carried out or where the arrests were made. The investigation remains ongoing.
