Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man arrested for a shooting last month in a road rage incident where an innocent bystander was shot in the head and killed, will remain in jail until his trial. Judge Courtney Weaks. granted the request by the state to keep Rory Horowitz in jail after arguing he’s too dangerous to be let out in public. Horowitz has a lengthy criminal history.
The shooting happened in the South Valley on April 18th, a road rage confrontation happened between two drivers. In the exchange of gunfire, 21-year old Roberto Pineda Arraiza was shot in the head by a stray bullet. He was just standing in front of his home showing his new motorcycle to a friend. Horowitz and the driver of the vehicle Ellyssa Salazar were arrested in El Paso the next day. Salazar was released from jail this week.
