Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque woman is in custody, accused of threatening to kill a District Court judge, her ex-husband and a guardian over an ongoing custody dispute.
49-year-old Oriana Saiz, who is an Air Force veteran and former U.S. Forest Service employee, is charged with threatening a judge, which is a fourth-degree felony.
Bernalillo County deputies allege Saiz threatened to kill Judge Amber Chavez Baker, Saiz’s ex-husband and a guardian involved in her daughter’s custody case.
The complaint came from a doctor who was treating Saiz and reported it to authorities. Saiz was detained on October 6, after getting into a fight with military police at Kirtland Air Force Base. She was then admitted to Kaseman Hospital for “agitation, delusions, and disorientation.”
The District Attorney’s office has filed a motion to keep Saiz in jail until trial,
