ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Public Schools is inviting teachers, families, students, and community members to help review and provide feedback on new math textbooks being considered for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
According to APS, the district is seeking instructional materials that are culturally and linguistically relevant, provide engaging and diverse content, and help students meet grade-level academic standards.
The district is encouraging participation from parents, guardians, teachers, employees, students, and other members of the community as part of the textbook adoption process.
Those interested in reviewing specific textbook options can contact Rachel Altobelli at APS to receive information online or schedule an in-person review of the materials.
APS is also collecting broader feedback about math instructional materials through its community input process.
The public comment period remains open through October 30, and district leaders say community feedback will help inform the final selection of math curriculum materials for classrooms across the district.
