Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A Santa Fe institution that closed its doors last November is on track to return. El Farol, a more than 60-year-old restaurant on Canyon Road, has been sold to new owners who plan to reopen the business within a few months. The buyers also own Palacio Café downtown and say they intend to preserve El Farol’s name and legacy. The building recently underwent extensive renovations, and the new owners are working through remaining requirements before reopening.
