Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — As commercial air travel increases in Santa Fe, airport officials are moving forward with plans to expand both the terminal and roadway access. The Santa Fe Regional Airport recently completed the first phase of a terminal expansion but says growth has continued. Airport leaders are now considering a second phase that could add more gates and airlines. They are also proposing a new access road to relieve traffic congestion caused by increased passenger and delivery vehicle traffic. Officials held a public meeting this week to gather feedback on road design options.
