Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An innocent bystander was shot in the head in Southwest Albuquerque over the weekend after a road rage incident involving people in two cars shooting at each other The incident happened around 6:50 p.m. in the 1500 block of Airway Road SW near Five Points.
Deputies arrived and found a person had been shot in the head. The person was taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital.
The person’s condition is still unknown.
“Investigators determined that two vehicles were actively shooting at each other in the area at the time of the incident, striking the innocent bystander,”
Sheriff and law enforcement is now looking for a Mitsubishi Outlander with New Mexico license plate NM-SHT803 which was one of the vehicles involved in the shooting.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff’s office or submit an anonymous tip through the Tip411 app.
