Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office have added a drone as a first responder–The program sends the drone to calls before deputies arrive and provides live video from the scene. BCSO can launch the drones from pods that are set up at different spots around the city where deputies can watch developing situations in real time and relay information to deputies on the ground. BCSO says the expansion marks a major step forward in modern policing and proactive response.
