ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Coin collectors, currency enthusiasts, and hobbyists will gather in Albuquerque later this month for the Great Southwest Coin Expo, hosted by the Albuquerque Coin Club.
The three-day event is scheduled for Nov. 13 through Nov. 15 at the Marriott Pyramid North and will feature dealers and collectors from across the Southwest.
According to organizers, the expo will include more than 75 tables of numismatic items and over 35 currency dealers offering opportunities to buy, sell, trade, and learn about coins and paper currency.
Items on display will include:
- U.S. coins
- Foreign coins
- Ancient coins
- Gold and silver bullion
- Paper currency
- Other collectible numismatic items
Attendees can also receive free appraisals of gold and silver items during the event.
Organizers say the expo is designed to appeal to both experienced collectors and newcomers interested in learning more about currency collecting.
Admission is $6 for adults, while children under 18 will be admitted free. The event will also feature a special treasure hunt designed for younger attendees.
The Albuquerque Coin Club says the annual show offers a chance for collectors to connect with dealers, explore rare currency, and learn more about the hobby.
