Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – The driver of the white truck that had its rear window smashed with a bat by a woman at an Albuquerque intersection in August has also been charged in that incident.
68-year old Robert Eugene Hagen has now been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, criminal damage to property and leaving the scene of an accident after he rammed the rear of the SUV the woman, Jenipher Lewis was driving. She was seen in viral video smashing his rear window. That video has generated 34 million views.
She told police that she was trying to “protect herself and her children.”

As Lewis drove away in her car, Hagen accelerated into the intersection and crashed into the rear of her red Nissan.
Lewis remains in jail since August and is expected to remain in custody until her trial.
APD investigators determined that both Hagen and Lewis participated in road rage despite Hagen saying his actions were unintentional.
