Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Virgin Galactic’s next generation spaceship has landed in southern NM at Spaceport America. Dubbed Spaceship Apeiron it will now prepare for flight tests with commercial trips set to begin sometime in 2027. A company spokesperson said Apeiron is the lead spacecraft in its next generation fleet and is designed to fly twice per week with more than 500 missions in its lifetime. Virgin Galactic’s last spaceflight at Spaceport America was in 2024.
