Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A $13.5 million National Institutes of Health award has been received by the University of New Mexico’s Clinical & Translational Science Center. The university says that the funds allows the center to expand its Primary Care – Building Research Integration in Different Geographic Environments initiative, which is a network of healthcare organizations and community partners working to bring clinical research opportunities into primary care settings across the southwest. Officials report that the effort is designed to strengthen research partnerships in rural communities, and ensure that research addresses local health priorities while making participation more accessible to patients. The NIH award supports PC-BRIDGE through September of 2031.
