Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Kiara McCullen of Santa Fe has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a bizarre murder. She said that it was her boyfriend Isaac Apodaca, who convinced her to swing the sword that killed 21 year old Grace Jennings, in October of 2022. According to Santa Fe police, Jennings, who knew McCulley and Apodaca, spent the night at the couple’s home. The next day, she was found stabbed to death. McCulley said Apodaca convinced her to commit the murder to move up in a “secret organization” that didn’t exist. McCulley pleaded guilty last year to second degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. As part of a plea deal, she agreed to testify against Apodaca. On Thursday Apodaca was sentenced to life in prison plus fifteen years.
