Prescribed Burn Planned in Manzanita Mountains

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Another prescribed burn is planned on 15 acres within the Cedro unit in the Manzanita Mountains, south of Forest Road 462, east of NM 337. The burn could happen as early at Tuesday, October 27 and would be a one-day operation if conditions allow. No closures are planned for the area. Visitors should stay alert in the areas of Coyote, Delberts, and Might Mule trails, as well as Forest Road 462 during the prescribed burn. Smoke may be visible from I-40, Albuquerque, Tijeras, Edgewood and Moriarty.
