Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Thousands of cans of Walmart’s Great Value-branded fruit cocktail are being recalled due to possible lead contamination. The cans were distributed to Walmart stores in several states including New Mexico. If you have cans of Great Value fruit cocktail in your cupboard, the 15 ounce cans have a best if used by date of September 1st, 2027 on them. The USDA advises consumers not eat the fruit cocktail as there is no safe level of lead consumption.
