Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)- Hey, c’mon ride the train! More people are riding the train these days as the New Mexico Rail Runner Express is reporting they have been seeing an increase in ridership this year compared with 2024 and 2025. One reason more people are taking the train within the Belen to Santa Fe route, is the rise in gas prices.
Starting November 1st, the Rail Runner Express will begin its fall/winter schedule, but there will be no changes to the weekend schedule.
The newnorthbound Train #100 Express will depart downtown Albuquerque at 3:54 a.m.
A new Southbound Train #523 will depart the Santa Fe Depot Station at 8 p.m. and make all stops south, ending at the downtown Albuquerque station.
