Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A man wanted for involvement in drug operations in the Santa Fe area is in jail following a large police operation by Santa Fe Police.
Hugo Ronaldo Hernandez-Estrada, 34 of Santa Fe, was arrested for Drug Trafficking on Friday.
According to Santa Fe Interim Police Chief Ben Valdez, On Friday August 28, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Region III Narcotics Task Force Agents arrested Hugo Hernandez-Estrada, after executing a search warrant related to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The Region III Narcotics Task Force and the Santa Fe Police Department SWAT Team conducted a traffic stop of Hernandez-Estrada on a city street and made the arrest without incident.
Police then executed search warrants at two locations and on several vehicles belonging to Hernandez-Estrada’s narcotics trafficking activities within the 2700 block of Aspen Loop in Santa Fe.
The following items of evidence were seized as a result of the search warrants:
Mr. Hernandez-Estrada was charged with two counts of Trafficking A Controlled Substance and was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
