Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)- In the next two weeks, according to a report by KRQE TV, the Albuquerque city engineer’s office will be sending out letters to the owners of all adjacent lots, businesses and homes to Avenida Cesar Chavez between Yale and 4th Street, letting them know the city is proposing to change the name back to its previous name, Stadium Boulevard.
Residents will have 30 days to send in their responses, then the city will review and then submit to the City Council, for discussion and approval. The name was already removed from the community center on Louisiana and Kathryn and the new name will come through a community vote.
The city’s estimate to make the name changes, is close to $12,000.
