Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A former Lotaburger employee has pled guilty to a fatal shooting that happened in the restaurant’s parking lot on Rio Grande Blvd near I-40 in 2025.
21-year old Christian Elycio, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder in the shooting death of 46-year old Edward Nicholas that happened in June of last year.
The shooting hapened after an argument over payment for a bicycle. Surveillance footage showed Elycio firing multiple shots, striking Nicholas 10 times.
Elycio faces up to 25 years in the New Mexico Corrections Department.
