Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Two Albuquerque men wanted in a lengthy investigation by New Mexico State Police for several crimes including drug distribution in the metro area, are in jail after their arrest on Thursday. NMSP executed a warrant at a home in the 800 block of Towner Ave. NW which is in the area of Menaul and 12th street. During the investigation, state police determined that the home was the center of suspected narcotics distribution, and firearms trafficking. Robert Raymond Sanchez who police say is a member of a well known street gang, and Rick Lopez were both arrested without incident. over 16 grams of fentanyl was seized, as well as other drugs. Both are now at MDC without bond.
