U.S-Mexico Border (KKOB) – A well known drug cartel operating in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, has been put on the list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations by the Trump Administration. La Linea, which is part of the old Juarez cartel was put on the list Wednesday and now is considered a Transnational Terrorist Group. The designation will allow the U.S government to go after its assets and anyone who provides financial assistance to them.
The Juarez cartel has been known by various names over the years, Nowadays, the criminal group is commonly known as La Linea and wasn’t on the original list the administration designated last year which included several other mexican drug cartels and cartels in Venezuela and El Salvador.
In 2022, a federal judge in North Dakota awarded over four and a half billion dollars in damages to the families of the three women and six children who were gunned down in Mexico in 2019, in what prosecutors called a case of mistaken identity. The money has yet to be collected.
